Do I need my own data protection department for this?
In principle, the effort involved always depends on the needs and size of the company.
For smaller companies, it is usually sufficient to have a data protection officer (internal or external) who can advise you.
Larger companies often have additional data protection coordinators in individual departments or even separate departments.
However, as a company, you basically define for yourself how this is organized.
How long will it take until we have implemented everything?
That depends on the size and needs of your company. The range here is between a few weeks and several months. There are different requirements depending on the industry, and ultimately your current status also plays a role. Have you already created documents, are you starting from scratch, etc.?
Are you certified as a data protection officer?
Yes, I am officially certified as a "Company Data Protection Officer" by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
What distinguishes a certified data protection officer?
A certified IHK data protection officer is distinguished by proven expertise (examination) in data protection law (GDPR, BDSG) and practice. The IHK certificate qualifies them to design data protection processes within the company, train employees, advise management, and communicate with supervisory authorities.
Do I have to choose one of the three packages?
No, the Basic, Standard, and Premium packages are not mandatory. You can also contact me with individual requests, and we will then see how I can best support you.
Does this make sense for smaller teams?
The GDPR must be complied with by all companies that offer goods/services in Germany or the EU. Therefore, the size of the team or company is of secondary importance in this context.
How much does it cost?
